Our association the "Collectif Urgence Palestine - Gen�ve" based in
Switzerland, recently came accross an article in a Swiss newspaper
concerning the courageous motion taken by the region of Sor-Trondelag to
boycott Israeli goods as a way of pressuring Israel to end the occupation
and the oppression of the Palestinian people. The association to which we
belong, the objectives of which are to denounce the Israeli occupation and
their denial of Human Rights of the Palestinian people, greatly admired this
action and the courage you demonstrated.
 
We have since been informed that you are experiencing massive pressure to
cancel this motion which does not surprise us, since the least opposition
expressed, even by the smallest groups, towards the despicable occupation by
settlers and the Israeli army of Palestinian territory, is strongly
denounced as acts of anti-Semitism by Zionist organizations. We know that
this is, of course, not the case. It is the support to a people being
occupied and oppressed by a state that respects none of the international
resolutions and conventions, laws and decisions, to the complete
indifference, to say the least, of the international community.
 
This message is to let you know that we are on your side and support fully
the motion you took to boycott Israeli goods.
We sincerely hope, although we realise that this is easier said than done,
that your representatives will not be influenced by all the pressure around
them and that your first motion will be maintained.
